Mass murders of Armenians in Ottoman Empire a historical fact - Ukrainian historian

The initiative calling to condemn terror committed against Armenians in the Ottoman Empire is fair, famous Ukrainian historian Maksim Ravreba said.

He recalled that Ukraine itself has suffered political terror and demanded international recognition.

"Mass murders of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire is a historical fact. The only attitude it deserves is condemnation," he told? Analitika.at.ua, expressing sincere sympathy towards the tragedy of the Armenian nation.

As? informed earlier, a bill on the Armenian Genocide's recognition was registered on June 6 in the Verkhovna Rada. Ukrainian parliament members Arsen Avakov and Vilen Shatvoryan are the persons behind this law proposal.

Ukrainian MPs, intellectuals, representatives of NGOs are actively supporting recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
