How Armenians celebrated Christmas in ancient times?

rmenians are the first nation to adopt Christianity officially, hence we have the most ancient traditions of celebrating the Christmas, ethnographer Lusik Aguletsi told NEWS.am STYLE adding it were children to open the celebration.

Children, who decorated the pumpkin, were considered to be angels. They wore white cloths and held a candle and an apple in their hands. They also had star pendants and passed from home to home proclaiming the good news about the birth of Jesus Chris, while the adults treat them with candies.?

The Christmas also considered being a celebration for all the new born male babies apart from the birth of Jesus Christ in the ancient times.
